Mrs. Yvonne Abdel Baki

Yvonne Abdel Baki is a Lebanese woman with all the traits of an inspiring and remarkable individual. She is a candidate for Director General of UNESCO, nominated by Ecuador.

Mrs. Baki holds a degree in Architectural Studies and two master degrees in Art and Public Policy. As well as a Doctorate in Public Administration from the School Government John F. Kennedy - Harvard University

Mrs. Baki held numerous positions in the politics, most significantly as President of the Andean Parliament, Minister of Trade Industry, Fisheries and Competitiveness, and President of the Commission of the Andean Community of Nations.

She was also the Ambassador of Ecuador to the United States of America, adviser to the President of Ecuador in the negotiations culminated in the signing of peace treaty with Peru, and member of the Foundation "Without Borders"; dedicated to help depressed areas of the province of Esmeraldas.

Mrs. Baki has received several awards from different universities, organizations, and foundations that recognized her lifelong achievements.
